We’re proud to announce that Tribute Family Dentistry has officially joined The Colony Chamber of Commerce. For those of you who’ve been in our chair, this probably isn’t a surprise — a large share of our patient base already comes from The Colony and the surrounding neighborhoods along the FM 423 corridor. Joining the chamber is simply us making official what’s already true on the ground: we serve this community, and we want to show up for it in more than just the clinical sense.
Our address reads Frisco, Texas, but anyone who lives out here knows the map doesn’t match how people actually live and drive. Our office sits at 5605 FM 423, Suite 600-B — a stone’s throw from the Tribute peninsula, which is a narrow strip of land jutting south into Lewisville Lake. Tribute is technically part of The Colony, not Frisco. So even though our sign says “Frisco dentist,” we’re the closest family dental office for thousands of homes inside The Colony city limits.

Why The Colony — and Why Now
The Colony Chamber has been a fixture in this part of Denton County for decades. Their stated mission is to support local businesses and build community through education, collaboration, and advocacy — and from what we’ve seen of their programming (weekly networking Wednesdays, ribbon cuttings, educational workshops, and a genuinely active ambassador program), they deliver on it.
We already belonged to the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and the Little Elm Chamber of Commerce. Adding The Colony felt overdue. Here’s the honest reason: if you pull our new-patient data for the last twelve months, a meaningful percentage of our families list a 75056 ZIP code — that’s The Colony, including the Tribute peninsula. Another cluster comes from The Tribute master-planned community specifically, which sits along the lake and is geographically closer to our office than it is to most of the dental offices inside The Colony city proper.
The short version: we belong in this chamber because our patients do.

The Geography No Map App Tells You About
If you’ve lived here for any length of time, you’ve probably had this conversation: “Wait, is that Frisco or The Colony?” The boundary in this part of the metroplex is genuinely confusing. FM 423 runs north–south along the west side of Lewisville Lake, and as you drive down it, the city lines weave in and out in a way that defies the usual grid logic of North Texas.
Our building is on the Frisco side of a line that matters for mail delivery and property tax records — but for everything else that affects a family’s day-to-day life (where your kids go to school, which grocery store is closest, which park you walk the dog at), the line is irrelevant. When a family in Tribute asks Siri for the nearest dentist, we come up. When a family in Stewart Peninsula or Austin Waters looks for a family dental practice on this side of the lake, we’re often the closest option that accepts their insurance and sees kids.
That’s why chamber membership matters to us. It’s a way of saying: we know where you actually live, and we’re showing up in the civic life of the community you belong to.
We moved to The Tribute in 2022 and spent almost a year driving back to our old dentist in Plano because we figured nothing would beat her. Then our youngest had a weekend emergency — cracked a tooth on a popcorn kernel — and Tribute Dentistry got us in Monday morning. The staff remembered our names at our next cleaning.
