Curodont in Frisco, TX
Drill-Free, Needle-Free Treatment for Early Cavities & White Spots

Preventive & Minimally Invasive Dentistry — Frisco TX
Catch a Cavity Early — Before It Needs a Filling
For as long as most of us have been going to the dentist, the options for a cavity were simple: watch it, or drill and fill it. There was never much in between. Curodont changes that. It is a non-invasive treatment designed to repair early-stage tooth decay — including the chalky white spots that show up before a cavity fully forms — without a drill, without a needle, and without traditional filling material.
At Tribute Family Dentistry, our focus has always leaned toward prevention: keeping small problems small, and preserving as much natural tooth structure as we can. Curodont fits that philosophy almost perfectly. When we spot early decay at a routine cleaning and exam, we now have something to do about it — rather than telling you to come back in six months and hope it hasn’t gotten worse.
We serve patients from The Tribute, Lone Star Ranch, Phillips Creek Ranch, Frisco Lakes, The Colony, and Little Elm.
What Curodont Actually Does
A white spot or an early lesion under the enamel is decay that has started but has not yet broken through into a hole. Fluoride varnish helps at the very surface, but once decay has moved deeper into the enamel, a surface treatment can only do so much. Curodont works differently: its formulation is designed to diffuse beneath the tooth surface and support the formation of new mineral throughout the depth of the early lesion, drawing on fluoride along with the calcium and phosphate already present in your saliva. In plain terms — it helps the tooth rebuild itself from the inside of the lesion outward, rather than just sealing the top.
Where it fits on the prevention ladder
Think of it as a middle rung that never used to exist. Good home care and fluoride sit at the bottom as everyday prevention. A filling sits at the top, for decay that has already formed a cavity. Curodont lives in between — for the moment when prevention alone has fallen short but the tooth has not yet reached the point of needing a drill. Catching that window is the whole point.
Simple, Comfortable, Same Visit
How the Treatment Works
Identify
During your exam we pinpoint an early lesion or white spot — often on a smooth surface, between teeth, or on a chewing surface — that is a candidate for non-invasive treatment.
Prepare
The tooth is gently cleaned and conditioned. No drilling, no anesthetic, no removal of healthy tooth. This is what makes it comfortable enough for anxious patients and kids alike.
Apply
The Curodont material is applied directly to the lesion, where it diffuses beneath the surface. According to vVARDIS, application takes as little as three minutes and is done in the same appointment.
Reinforce
We pair the treatment with a plan — home care guidance, fluoride, and follow-up at your regular visits — so the area stays healthy and we can keep an eye on it over time.
Application time and same-appointment claims reflect information published by the manufacturer, vVARDIS. Individual cases vary, and not every spot is a candidate — we will always tell you honestly whether Curodont is the right call or whether watching, treating with fluoride, or a filling makes more sense.
Who Curodont Can Help
White Spots After Braces
Those chalky white marks left where a bracket used to sit are early demineralization. Curodont is designed to treat exactly this kind of early lesion. If you or your teen finished orthodontic treatment with white spots, this is worth a conversation.
Early Decay on X-Ray
When an X-ray shows decay that has started but has not yet cavitated, that is the classic “watch it” scenario. Curodont gives us a way to intervene at that stage instead of waiting for it to grow.
Children & Cavity-Prone Patients
A drill-free, needle-free option is a genuine relief for kids and for anyone who dreads the dental chair. vVARDIS notes the treatment is suitable for a wide range of ages; for children under six, we’ll always evaluate first. Learn more about our children’s dentistry.
Sensitive or Anxious Patients
Because there is no drilling and no anesthetic, the experience is calm and quick. For patients who have avoided the dentist out of fear, a positive, painless treatment can be the thing that rebuilds trust.
Why We’re Excited About It
We’ll be honest about the tradeoff, because that matters more than hype. Curodont is not a replacement for fillings when decay has already formed a real cavity — at that point a filling is still the right treatment, and we won’t pretend otherwise. What Curodont does is widen the window where we can act early and conservatively. For a preventive-minded practice, that is a meaningful addition, not a gimmick. Every lesion we can stabilize non-invasively is a filling, and sometimes a root canal, that never has to happen.
Preserves Natural Tooth
No healthy enamel is removed. The more of your own tooth you keep over a lifetime, the better — that principle guides everything we do here.
Comfortable by Design
No drill and no needle removes the two things most people dread most. That alone changes how patients feel about coming in.
Backed by Research
The technology behind Curodont has been studied for years and published in peer-reviewed journals. It is also being adopted at major dental universities — we don’t bring in tools we can’t stand behind.
Fits Your Regular Visit
Because it’s quick and done the same day, treating an early lesion doesn’t have to mean a separate trip back. We can handle it while you’re already in the chair.

Common Questions
Curodont FAQ
Does it hurt?
No. There’s no drilling and no anesthetic needed. Most patients describe it as no more involved than having a coating painted onto the tooth. It’s one of the gentlest treatments we offer.
Is Curodont a replacement for fillings?
Not for every cavity. Curodont is for early decay that hasn’t yet formed a hole in the tooth. Once decay has cavitated, a filling is still the appropriate treatment. We’ll examine the tooth and give you a straight answer about which stage you’re at.
Can my child have it done?
In many cases, yes — a drill-free option is especially welcome for kids. The manufacturer notes it’s suitable across a wide range of ages, and for children under six we’ll evaluate carefully before recommending it. Ask us at your child’s next visit.
Will it stain or change how my tooth looks?
The treatment is described by the manufacturer as non-staining and tasteless. For white spots specifically, the goal is to support the tooth’s own remineralization; we’ll set realistic expectations about appearance based on your specific case.
How do I know if I’m a candidate?
The best way is a routine exam. If we spot an early lesion or white spot, we’ll walk you through the options — Curodont, fluoride, monitoring, or a filling — and explain why we’re recommending one over another. Call (469) 598-1021 to schedule.
Where can I read more about the science?
The manufacturer publishes clinical information and references on their professional site: vVARDIS Professional. We’re also happy to talk it through with you in person.
