Short answer: Tribute Family Dentistry does not accept Medicaid or CHIP. We’d rather tell you that up front than have you find out at the front desk.
If your child is covered by Texas Medicaid or CHIP, your best option is a dentist who is enrolled with your child’s dental plan. Texas Health Steps covers checkups, cleanings and fluoride for kids on Medicaid, and your dental plan can give you a list of in-network dentists near Frisco.
How to find a Medicaid or CHIP dentist
- Call the member services number on the back of your child’s dental ID card and ask for in-network dentists near your ZIP code.
- Use the search tool on your dental plan’s website, or the Texas HHS Medicaid and CHIP pages to confirm which plan your child is on.
- InsureKidsNow.gov has plan contacts and answers to common coverage questions.
- When you call an office, ask: “Are you in network with my child’s Medicaid dental plan, and are you taking new patients?”
If you don’t have Medicaid or insurance
Families without dental insurance can use our Smile Savings Plan. It’s $360 a year per person and covers two cleanings, two exams, one emergency exam, fluoride and routine X-rays, with 20% off most other treatment. There’s no waiting period and no deductible.
We’re also in-network with most major PPO plans. Details are on our insurance and payment page.
