Victoria Wilson is the registered dental hygienist at Tribute Family Dentistry — the person responsible for the cleanings, gum assessments, and patient education that form the foundation of care for most of our patients. Victoria has been a hygienist since 2007, and in that time has built the kind of clinical skill and patient rapport that makes people genuinely look forward to their appointments.

Originally from Seattle, Victoria completed her dental hygiene training there before making the move to Texas four years ago with her family. She brings the same warmth and care to her patients that she brings to everything in her life — which is exactly the kind of hygienist Tribute Family Dentistry was built around.

“Building relationships with patients while helping them feel confident about their smiles is incredibly rewarding,” Victoria says. That philosophy shows in every appointment she runs.

Thorough removal of plaque and tartar above and below the gumline using both ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments, followed by polishing. The standard of cleaning that no at-home routine can replicate — and the appointment most patients credit for keeping their teeth healthy year after year.

Victoria measures gum pocket depths around every tooth at every routine visit — the clinical standard for detecting early gum disease before it progresses. She explains her findings clearly, documents everything, and flags anything that needs the dentist’s attention.

Professional fluoride application at the end of each cleaning strengthens enamel and provides extra protection against cavities — particularly important for children, patients with dry mouth, and anyone at elevated decay risk.

Victoria takes and reviews digital radiographs as part of your routine care — identifying cavities between teeth, bone levels around roots, and developing issues that a visual exam alone cannot detect.

Victoria takes time at every visit to review home care technique, answer questions, and give personalized guidance — not generic advice. Whether it’s flossing technique, diet recommendations, or explaining what she found on X-rays, patients leave informed and confident.

Victoria is experienced and patient with children of all ages. She knows how to explain every step in kid-friendly language, take things at a child’s pace, and make dental visits something kids actually look forward to — one of the most common things parents tell us about her.

Background & Training

Victoria graduated from her dental hygiene program in Seattle in 2007 and has been practicing for nearly two decades. Her clinical foundation was built in the Pacific Northwest before she relocated to Texas four years ago — bringing that experience to the Frisco community she now calls home.

Nearly 18 years in practice means Victoria has seen virtually every clinical scenario a hygiene appointment can present. She knows when something warrants a closer look, how to adapt her technique to patients with sensitivity or anxiety, and how to make even the most apprehensive patients feel genuinely comfortable in the chair.

Beyond the Office

Outside of work, Victoria is deeply family-oriented. You’ll find her on long walks with her giant Sheepadoodle, cheering on her son at his jiu jitsu competitions, or watching her daughter shine at dance. Family time is everything to her — and she brings that same warmth and attentiveness to every patient she sees.

Patients who have been coming to Tribute for years consistently ask for Victoria by name. That kind of loyalty is the best measure of what she brings to the practice.
